Paper making

I am really enjoying my current unit paper making and print making. I have be exploring diffrent techniques and proses  from my previous paper making experience making a paper wedding dress. So far so good it's really fun and I can't waite to see what else I can create next with this paper and print making unit.

Scottish National Gallery Of Modern Art.

On Monday our art and design class went to see the Scottish national gallery in Edinburgh to look at it's art works. I liked some of the art works in the gallery but not all. The works I likes best were Part Objects "Give or take" 2002 by Louise Bourgiois 

"A yellow Sun" 1992 by Jon Schueler 

The sculpture work "Give or take" 2002 by Louise Bourgiois I thought was great as there was so much work in to her incredible sculptures. The silver plate hand I really enjoyed looking at as the silver links in to one with two hands which I found very effective and clever.  I enjoyed the part objects by Louise Bourgiois her work was very like able  and intereeging. 

"A yellow Sun" 1992 by Jon Schueler I think was a beautiful pice of art work I loved everything about this oil in canvas. The way it captured the dramatic shifting skies and the sun shinning brightly through the colours of clouds. I was lost for a moment looking all all the colours in this wonderfully oil painting. It was defiantly my favorite part of the gallery.

University of Edinburgh open day

The angel sculpture and the bicycle were very eye catching and powerful pieces. 

 

Chairs

Drawing lots of chairs in observational drawing today. It was very challenging like solving a puzzle. I finished the drawing with hilghting the outline with ink.
